NEA- Website Progression

 

I have been working on my website home page, it is still a work in progress as I need to add more photos and article titles. I created an area where my latest issue will go, my lead stories and a column where I will feature different stories related to a different area of my task bar on the website.  

NEA- Intertextuality

Since I need to include more intertextuality in my photos, I have been doing some research into photos I could recreate as my references. 

For my first model, my shoot was inspired by old Hollywood glamour- Marilyn Monroe and Audrey Hepburn, so for my front cover image I am going to use this image of Audrey Hepburn to style my model. 

For my second model, I will use James Bond. I have collected a series of photos of James Bond (played by Daniel Craig) which I will recreate. I feel that this will connect well with my magazine as Bond is an iconic figure who is known for his luxury and elegance in the Bond franchise films. 

NEA- Website designing

 

I created my website, I learnt how to add text and elements to sections. So I have added my magazine title, task bar, search button and subscribe and sign in buttons. I will be moving on to my ‘main stories’ section next.

NEA- initial photos feedback

Feedback

- I have lots of good images but none are the right fit for my front cover photo

- I need to make my intertextuality more clear in my photos, specifically the ones for the front cover 

- Some of the photos are poor quality or have poor lighting 

Next steps

- Reshoot with both models to get front cover images 

- Make sure to include more direct intertextual references in these new photos 

- Reshoot the photos which have poor lighting/ quality 

- Start website and contents pages with existing images
